Ladies Guild

The Ladies Guild members meet every second Tuesday of the month except July and August, at 7 PM in Our Mother of Sorrows Hall.

We are currently seeking new members to bring in new ideas to strengthen our group and to promote community. There is no age limit to join. The annual dues are $2.00 per month ($24 per year) which is applied to your Christmas Dinner which is planned every year at various restaurants.

Our meetings currently consist of a review of current church functions/activities, planning new events, discussing plans for trips and other social events. We have an added Outreach Program whereby we select a family or group to donate either a holiday meal or gifts for children.

Once annually, in October, we celebrate Mass as a group at which time all members present a flower to the Blessed Mother in her honor. Following the Mass a free breakfast is served to all parishioners and their families to thank them for their generous support throughout the year.

Our fund raisers consist of an annual Spaghetti dinner which is held every March. On special occasions we have raffles, and organize trips to raise funds to help with our Out Reach Programs. The planned trips are usually held on the weekends. Once a year we organize a 3-4 day trip to various parts of the state which are educational, fun and interesting. Money realized from all these activities area shared with the Church either as a donation or to help with repairs or other activities.

Once our membership increases we would like to restart our speakers program. There are many groups/organizations who would like to share their information whether it be religious, community or social.
